The Makaira trolling rods are just the right equipment if you want to take on the big boys of the sea. The rods have a newly developed carbon technology in the production of the rod blanks. Light, strong and responsive are well-deserved adjectives for these new “sticks”. The new rods are stunning in their appearance, with custom abalone decoration across the foregrip, and exceptional in their action.
The rods feature ALPS Deep Press 316 stainless steel guides with hard zirconium guide inserts for perfect handling of braided lines. There is also an ALPS aluminum reel seat with an abalone base. The standup rods feature custom leather-wrapped foregrips. Nothing stands in the way of a fight with the greats of the sea!
